Bow bathing suits and WINNER!

This post is a little crazy considering it is the last day of January!
Lately, I have been obsessing over bow bathing suits. I don't know why. I don't even like the beach or pool that much. I absolutely hate being sunburned or sweating. Needless to say my pale-self usually sticks inside on hot days but, bow bathing suits have me thinking other wise though...
I found all these "bow bathing suits" from All of them are hand-made and yes they are super expensive.
I was pondering on doing a DIY version. Is that something you guys would like to see? (let me know in comments below!)
The best part of these are they are so me. I prefer the floral/garden print. It gives the bathing suit a preppy vintage vibe (which is my favorite style!)

Lilly brings Spring

Sorry readers, I took a little break this weekend.
I somehow scored the flu this weekend. So I've been lying in bed feeling sorry for myself. That's why I'm going to keep this post short and sweet.
Like everyone else I absolutely adore Lilly Pulitzer (what other clothes make you HAPPY to wear??) Lilly's spring 2013 line just came to the market and I'm going to share some of my favorites.
Lilly Pulitzer Spring 2013
I'm absolutely loving Harwin maxi dress. I have been wanting a maxi for awhile now but, I can't commit because I'm not sure if it's my style, what it will look like on, etc. (I tend to talk myself out of things with questions like that)
Lilly has done it again with short dresses that make me smile. There is nothing like throwing on your bright Lilly dress and going to tailgate or showing your flirty style. I LOVE the lace detailing on the Lacina Dress but don't be fooled by the Darcy Dress it has a fabulous little bow in the back and might be my favorite dress from the spring line!
Next the Nelle Jacket plus matching shorts make a new style for women "suits" Personally I'd have no where to wear this outfit, but I still love it! The fun bright colors make me want to grow up and have a more professional look.
I had to throw in the new Walsh Short in eyelet lace with scallop edges? Can you say perfect shorts!
Lastly I'm loving the accessories! I want to see the inside of the Party Crossbody but I think I may fall in love. Also the Cute as a Button bangles would add an extra pop of color to the already perfect Lilly outfit.

What are you loving from Lilly's Spring line?

Winter Staples

Good morning lovely readers!
Today we are going to talk about basics
But I figured since it's cold why not do winter basics?
These are the items I personally find more versatile in my closets during the winter months
I'm usually found in some form of these outfits
but at times with a big t-shirt though!
Winter Staples
Please note all of these can be switched around to create more outfits!

1. I pared a plain button up with a flirty skater skirt and added a cute little bootie. I believe in boots, I absolutely love them so having different styles and colors during the winter months is important to me. (my recommendations: Shirt Skirt Booties

2. Next is a big comfy sweater, I personally own a light mocha color from Tommy Hilfiger which is my favorite over-sized sweater, I added some skinny jeans (only jeans I wear!) and my favorite flats EVER (Madden girl) (Sweater Jeans Flats

3. For a more relaxed outfit I pair my favorite t-shirt with some leggings (fleece or super lined!) and brown riding boots. (Shirt Leggings Boots)

4. Lastly a little black dress, not too formal but cut in a shape that allows you to dress it up or dress it down! I like how the dress on here has long sleeves with a tighter body. The dress is conservative without being granny-like! I added a great pair of nude heels (love my Steve Madden ones) (Dress Heels)

And of course I added some pearl earrings because I wear mine everyday.

What are your winter basics and how do you style them?

Tote Bag

Well I have been on a search for a perfect "spring time" tote bag.
One I can take to the store or pool, just a everyday bag.
Let me tell you how much I LOVE the Lilly and Vineyard Vines bags.
It's ridiculous. I kinda need one.
Just at the moment I am saving for a nice brown leather bag and rather spend less on a new spring tote
So my search for a tote began, but it had to meet some criteria:
1. Long enough handles to comfortably sit on my shoulder
2. Dark colored bottom (it gets so gross after a while!)
3. Zipper or at least closure on top
4. POCKETS on the inside (how is this one so hard?!)

Tote Bag
It has proven to be very hard. I'm torn between LL Bean and Lands End
Any advice is always appreciated

Spring Fever

I don't know about you guys but lately I have been seeing floral pattern everywhere and it is making me want spring to be here so I can rock some garden print.
Which is kinda crazy because I love cold weather.
I hope I don't end up looking like I escaped the nursing home. This actually is a constant battle for me. Boyfriend tells me I'm "soccer mom" hot.
Which I'm not complaining about.

What do you think about floral?
A go for spring or should stay in grandma's closet?

Let's talk brushes- Goody QuikStyle

I recently joined a website called Influenster and it was linked with companies to send out items for people to try and review to help companies make products the general public will like. I'm so happy that I signed up (if you would like an invite just comment with your email address or email me for more info!) Well soon after joining and writing reviews about products I already own I was sent my first box of goodies and it was the Holiday VoxBox!
Here the little beauty is! and I'm going to tell about each product I received. First is this Goody
Here it is an I'm OBSESSED. First the blue fibers in between are there to absorb the excess water. Does it work? Absolutely it's like a towel in your brush. Another plus is how super easy it is to keep clean, just rub a comb over and then looks new. See I have super thin and in between middle/long hair and this brush makes a huge difference. I'm able to get out of the shower towel dry my hair, run this brush (detangles & dries) in my hair, and then run the blow dryer on a low heat as a brush and blow dry together.
The Result?
For a more natural look like the the two on the right I just brush, barely blow dry, then go. For curls I flip my hair over and brush while blow drying for more volume and lastly for shiny straight hair I brush along with my hair while blow drying in sections starting bottom to up! This brush allows me to cut my getting ready time more than half and I do have to use a harsh straightener everyday! I so recommend.

Do you have a favorite brush? Why do you enjoy it?

**I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.

Back to school

Well my Spring 2013 semester has started officially today and wow I can't believe time has flown by. For school I always want to keep bright cheerful school supplies to keep my spirits up while having to do work. For me all my classes are online this semester (last semester was my first time doing this and I LOVED it). I'm able to wake up when I want work my little booty off with my cute bright Lilly and Vera and then my day is over. I usually like to spend a couple hours a day rather than waiting last minute and having to work a whole day for my week-worth of work, but I won't say it hasn't happened before! I tend to procrastinate from time to time. Here are my personal must have school supplies:

What are your "must haves" for this upcoming semester?

Sorry guys yesterday was my birthday so I was busy soaking up the lovely-ness being "my" day. I spent this birthday relaxing and hanging out with the boyfriend and my mom. First we hit up the ice skating rink, some downtown shopping, a nice dinner, then off to the mall to find birthday presents :) It was a great day and I'm so lucky to have those two in my life!
This is my parents alien dog aka British Lab pup Ace and my footsie PJ's! He helped make this the best birthday yet!

Thank you so much to Teaching with a Fashion for nominating me! I had a great time filling this out and I hope everyone else does also!
What is the Liebster Award?
The Liebster Award's origins are pretty much a mystery. Bloggers nominate other bloggers that have 200 or less followers. “Liebster” is German for “favorite,” so this is kind of like the “favorite blog award.” It's basically a "Hey, that's a sweet little blog you've got there. Here's an award!" You can't just accept the award. You have to play by the (ever changing) rules and pay it forward. Then you can put the award on your blog for all to see.

Rules of the Liebster Award:

Gifts- for the kitchen

Coming up soon is Spring so you know what the means- graduations, marriages, and leases being up (my idea of moving somewhere new) well for all those occasions we all need some quick gift ideas. Especially if you have a lot of sorority sisters (or maybe just normal sisters also!)
Here is my first list of Gift Ideas:
Gifts for the kitchen
Sure all these are bright and fun and might go better for a young female about to start college or getting her first home. Sure I'd still use this even though I'm a live in girlfriend. Heck don't touch my sparkly plate! Personally I'd love to receive/buy a cute mug or kitchen accessory for a few reasons. 1. I'll actually use it and whats better than that? 2. You can match it with the person's personality. 3. The price- you can find cute items for the home at places like Tj Maxx, Target, and online for good deals.

Would you like to get one of these cute/sassy home goods? Where do you get your adorable items for the home?

Online Shopping

Hello blog world! So I have some news to share of another website I have found. During my look for a vintage bag (probably Coach but open to D&B) I stumbled open Thread Flip and this is a site where people sell their unwanted items. Kinda like Ebay or Poshmark. This website isn't full of stuff, but what they have I was pleasantly surprised. It is more high expensive than Poshmark can be because the amount of items such as J.Crew, Chanel, Kate Spade, etc. was all over the site.
Also Michael Kors, Stella & Dot, and J.Crew accessories and jewelry are available. I like the idea of this trusted site to sell some of my items because just like every female I have way too much clothing and I wouldn't mind the extra cash (maybe even more purses?)
Here are some of the items I loved on Thread Flip
Where do you find good deals or sell your unwanted items? Ever done a blog sell?

Here is a link if you would like to sign up it's completely free to do so!
